  • Aletas
  • Chaleco de flotabilidad
  • Escarpines

Second dive is always the best

It is considered a Advanced Try Dive because it consists of 2 dives. Inaddition, minimum requirements of autonomy and safety in the waterare required to obtain this certification.

Thus, this programme allows beginners to learn to dive on their own in just one day.

However, the Basic Diver is still a kind of baptism. A first time for inexperienced beginners who want to go a bit beyond.

    Introduction to recreational diving

This mini-course is the perfect introduction to diving because it allows you to learn and feel safe in an environment that is not your own.

Includes two dives and covers the basic exercises of the first day of the course. Open Water SSI.

As we mentioned in reference to the try dive in Tenerife known as the Try Scuba programme. Ideally, your first try dive should be done from the shore.

A beach with easy access, not too busy and with an entertaining variety of marine species.

On a beach the adaptation process becomes much more progressive and relaxed. The best way to overcome initial nerves and gain confidence with the equipment and the sensations of breathing from a regulator underwater.

However, this does not mean that you can’t do a boat dive the first time you try this activity.

If you wish to do the activity by boat, especially with regard to the turtle dive option, we recommend the “Basic Diver”.Basic Diver“. This is simply a two-dive baptismal course that enables you to dive to a depth of up to 12 metres.

    [/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What’s the best time for your Basic Diver” color=”blue” css_animation=”fadeInDown” custom_font_container=”tag:h5|font_size:20|text_align:left|color:%23396fba” custom_use_theme_fonts=”yes” use_custom_heading=”true”]

It can be done in one morning or in two different days.

In the first case it would be necessary to be at the centre at 9.00 a.m. to start with the forms, theoretical explanations and equipment preparation.

If you want to book the second dive by boat, we recommend organising the excursion on two different days in order to take advantage of the first hour of the morning of each day. This is the time when animals are most active at the dive sites.

    [/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How long does a Basic Diver last?” color=”blue” css_animation=”fadeInDown” custom_font_container=”tag:h5|font_size:20|text_align:left|color:%23396fba” custom_use_theme_fonts=”yes” use_custom_heading=”true”]

Basic Diver program has a duration of approximately 4 hours and a half or 5 hours.

It can be done in the same morning or on two different days.

Diving baptism in Tenerife with Sea Turtles and Manta Rays?

    [/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Try Dive with sea turtles and rays? ” color=”blue” css_animation=”fadeInDown” custom_font_container=”tag:h5|font_size:20|text_align:left|color:%23396fba” custom_use_theme_fonts=”yes” use_custom_heading=”true”]

As you read it, it is now possible to dive with sea turtles and manta rays on your first try dive in Tenerife.

Currently, we have an extraordinary situation: a family of sociable and playful sea turtles that keep chasing divers in the south of Tenerife.

Turtles are not aggressive, far from it, they have simply discovered a new toy: our bubbles.

Those of you who have seen sea turtles before will have noticed that they are usually indifferent to our presence.

They are just looking for food everywhere and we humans are not on their menu and we are not their predators.

It is normal for turtles to ignore divers, but that is not what happens in Tenerife!

Our little turtles interact happily with all the divers who visit them. The only thing we need to know is how to do it respectfully and without harming them or their ecosystem.

    Before the dive

    1. After arriving at the dive centre, you will proceed to fill in the necessary forms* for the legal practice of this activity.
    2. Once the legal documents have been completed, your personal diving equipment will be delivered to you.
    3. The next step will consist in a theoretical and practical explanation about the activity for 15 to 30 minutes. Have a look.
    4. Then we will move to the dive site. “Los Cristianos” will be our favourite destination as long as the sea allows it.
    5. At the dive site we will get changed and prepare the diving equipment to enter the water, remembering the important points to bear in mind and, if necessary, the correct way to get into the boat.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”12px”][vc_message]Take a look of Basic Diver theory.[/vc_message][vc_message color=”warning” message_box_color=”warning” icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-exclamation-triangle”]WARNING! *If a dive centre doesn’t ask you to complete privacy statement and health status form, it probably means that they are not recording the visit and therefore you are not insured.[/vc_message][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”1st Dive” tab_id=”1642440188112-2b3aeefc-7f291af6-bed244b8-0cdc”][vc_column_text]

Start your Diving Baptism in Tenerife

    1. In any case, your Try Dive will begin by breathing from the regulator on the surface, taking the time necessary for the client to feel comfortable and safe breathing from the regulator.
    2. Next, we will prepare to submerge the head so that the students can realize that they can indeed breathe underwater!
    3. Once the future diver feels comfortable with the new sensations of breathing from the regulator we will start the descent. The descent will be controlled by the instructor at all times to facilitate the transition to this new environment.
    4. Once we reach the bottom, the instructor will ask the student to get down on his knees to stabilise himself and to be able to to perform the basic exercises that will allow you to dive safely.
    5. Afterwards we will take a pleasant underwater walk in which the student will be able to play with his BCD in a controlled environment, learning to manage his buoyancy by himself so that he enjoys a certain amount of freedom during his dive. Of course, always under the watchful eye of their instructor who will help them at any time they may need it.
    6. During this trip, the instructors will point out the marine species of interest, how to interact with those that allow it and the most striking underwater landscapes, taking photographs and videos of the clients as long as the safety conditions allow it.
    7. We finish the dive…

    8. When the amount of air remaining in the cylinder approaches the minimum reserve recommended for safety, start the ascent making sure that we always reach the surface with 50 bar (after approximately 40 to 60 minutes, depending on the student’s air consumption).
    9. Finally, we will get out of the water, dismantle the equipment, change and return to the centre or to the clients’ accommodation if a pick-up service has been requested

Then, your first dive in Tenerife is complete. You can then decide whether you want to continue to enjoy the underwater world of the Canary Islands (one of the best in terms of life and visibility) or the rest of the world, becoming a real diver with the “Basic Diver” or “Open Water Diver” programmes.

[/vc_column_text][vc_message]Entonces, tu bautizo de buceo en Tenerife se habrá completado. A continuación, podrás decidir si quieres seguir disfrutando de los fondos submarinos de Canarias (de los mejores en cuanto a vida y visibilidad) o del resto del mundo, convirtiéndote en todo un buceador con los programas “Basic Diver” o “Open Water Diver”.[/vc_message][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”2nd Dive” tab_id=”1642440188153-d51744fc-8bbd1af6-bed244b8-0cdc”][vc_column_text]

Discover scuba diving two dives in Tenerife

      • After this short break we will prepare our equipment for the second dive. A brief briefing of the upcoming dive will be given, covering any aspects of the first dive that may have been more difficult and tips to increase your comfort. Navigation and boat diving procedures, safety rules and how to interact with the marine life you are likely to encounter will be explained.
      • We will head to the harbour with the equipment ready to catch the zodiac that will take us to the dive site for this second boat dive where, if all goes according to plan, we will soon see turtles, manta rays and all kinds of fish. We are likely to encounter some dolphins along the way.
      • Once we arrive at the dive site the anchor will be dropped and the last explanation or reminder will be given on how to jump off the boat and descend by the anchor line. The instructor will accompany the student during this descent which will not exceed 5 metres vertically or 8 metres diagonally. Always encouraging him/her to learn and correcting his/her buoyancy whenever necessary.

      Back to diving

      • During this advanced try dive in Tenerife no further exercises will be required unless a deficiency has been noted during the first dive. In such a case, the instructor may ask for a new demonstration at the shallower depth. This dive would be a “fun dive” so we will entertain ourselves by looking for turtles and encouraging them to play with us.
      • We will take a walk around paying closer attention to all the fauna and flora that lurks in the crevices. Students will discover that, despite the added difficulties of boat diving, they are much more comfortable than on their first dive and will enjoy the experience to the full.
      • The maximum depth for this dive will be 12 metres. It is common to find mantas, cuttlefish, octopus, trumpet fish, anemones, parrot fish, fulas, green fish, spider crabs, lizard fish… …. Don’t get lost!

We finished the two dives baptism of diving in Costa Adeje.

      • As soon as the air is around 100 bar we will turn around and head for the anchor of the boat. The duration of the dive will therefore depend on the consumption rate of the participants and their own preferences.
      • Students will learn how to take off their equipment on the surface and pass it to the personnel on board the boat (standard procedure for dives from a zodiac). As well as the order and protocols for exiting the water from the boat.
      • When everyone has returned to the boat we will get ready to start the return trip. We will pick up the anchor and start sailing again, keeping an eye on the fish farms in search of dolphins that are always waiting impatiently for a fish to escape by chance from these underwater farms.
      • On arrival at the port we will unload the boat, dismantle the equipment and be picked up by the van that will take us back to our Tenerife Dive Experience dive centre.

[/vc_column_text][vc_message]Now you are a Basic Diver, a diver at the most basic level possible. You will be able to dive without paying the extra fees required for a baptism and validate your experience and knowledge with a session of the official “Open Water Diver” course.[/vc_message][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”And then?” tab_id=”1651684553232-5b9b7a42-f71644b8-0cdc”][vc_column_text]
