What are the requirements to participate in a Try Scuba Diving

In order to be able to do a diving baptism in Tenerife, according to the current legislation, it is necessary:

  • Know how to swim.
  • Be at least 8 years old.
  • No health problems incompatible with diving. On arrival at the centre you will sign a medical form detailing all injuries.

What should you bring for your first dive?
  • Bikini or swimsuit, what you will wear under the diving suit.
  • Towel.
  • Sunscreen.
  • Water or bottle to fill in the center.
What’s included in your try dive?
  • Theoretical and practical class.
  • Complete dive equipment in perfect working order (overhauled and less than one year old).
  • Transport to the dive site from a cove or from a boat, always choosing the best option according to the sea conditions.
  • Dive until maximum 4-8 metres down during 40 – 60 minutes (as long as the client’s gas lasts).
  • Accident insurance during the activity.
  • Discount of the price of the Try Dive for next diving course
What equipment does it include?
  • Mask
  • Fins
  • Buoyancy Control System (BCD) or dive jacket.
  • Dive Boots
  • 5 mm or 7 mm wetsuit
  • 12 L air tank charged at 200 bar
  • Regulator for breathing
Is there a pick-up service?

It lasts approximately two and a half to three hours maximum.

What is the timetable for our diving baptisms in Tenerife?

It can take place every day during the morning (at 9,00 am or at 12,30 pm) depending on the availability of the dive centre.

If you wish to book the second boat dive, we recommend organising the excursion on two different days in order to take advantage of the first hour of the morning of each day. This is the time when the animals are most active at the dive sites

Recommended option* This mini-course or advanced baptism will make your first diving experience complete. Temporary certification that lasts only 6 months, during which it can be validated with an Open Water Diver course dive.

    OTHER ALTERNATIVES TO TRY SCUBA IN TENERIFE DIVE EXPERIENCE

    Try Scuba

    Try Diving and discover a sea of inexplicable sensations.  

    Minimum age: 8 years old 

    Duration: 2 hours and half aproximately

    Time underwater: between 45 and 60 minutes depending on air consumption.

    Maximum: 6 meters 

    No certification is issued nor does it enable you to continue diving.

    Basic Diver

    Learn to dive by becoming a "Basic Diver"

    Minimum age: 10 years old 

    Duration: 4 hours and half aproximately

    Time underwater: between 45 and 60 minutes per dive depending on air consumption.

    Certification: enables you to dive up to 12 meters deep accompanied by an instructor anywhere in the world for 6 months after its issuance. Once elapsed, the student must return to the Basic Diver program or take a Scuba Diver/Open Water Diver.

    Scuba Diver

    Learn to dive by becoming a "Scuba Diver". 

    Minimum age: 10 years old 

    Duration: 2 days of trainning (16 -24 hours)

    Time underwater: between 45 and 60 minutes per dive depending on air consumption.

    Certification: enables you to dive up to 12 meters deep accompanied by an instructor anywhere in the world. Permanent Certification.

    Open Water Diver

    Become an "Open Water Diver".

    Minimum age: 10 years old 

    Duration: 3 - 5 days of trainning (24 - 32 hours)

    Time underwater: between 45 and 60 minutes per dive depending on air consumption.

    Certification: enables you to dive up to 18 meters deep accompanied by a buddie anywhere in the world. Permanent Certification.

    Scuba Skills Review

    If you already have a Scuba Diver/Open Water certification or higher, but haven't dived in a while, you may need to refresh your diving knowledge and skills. 

    Minimum age: 10 years old 

    Duration: 2 hours and half aproximately

    Time underwater: between 45 and 60 minutes depending on air consumption.

    No certification is issued but it does enable you to continue diving.
