THIS IS HOW YOUR TRY SCUBA DIVING IN TENERIFE WILL BE

Before the dive

After the collection and arrival at the center, the participants will proceed to fill in the forms* necessary for the legal practice of this activity (Medical Questionnaire, Acceptance of the Responsible Diver Code and the Privacy Policy).
Once legal documents have been completed, your personal diving equipment will be delivered.
The next step will consist of a theoretical-practical explanation of the activity for around 30 minutes. This way you will discover how to breathe from the regulator, how to control your buoyancy vest, how to compensate the ears and the basic signals of underwater communication. Check out.

On the way to the dive site

Next we will move to the immersion point. “Los Cristianos” will be our favorite destination as long as the sea allows it. From the port of Los Cristianos we will be able to carry out both initiation dives but, if it were not possible due to environmental conditions, we would choose another point that is equally accessible and particularly interesting for the practice of this activity.
In any case, it will be at the dive site where we will change and prepare the diving equipment to enter the water. Remembering the important points to take into account and, if necessary, the correct way to position yourself on the boat.

Your Try Scuba in Tenerife begins

Your Try Scuba will always begin breathing from the regulator on the surface, taking the time necessary for the client to feel comfortable and safe breathing from it.
Next, we will have to submerge the head so that the students verify that, indeed, they can breathe underwater! with his diving unit.
Once the future diver feels comfortable with the new sensations of breathing from the regulator, we will begin the descent. The descent will be controlled by the instructor at all times to facilitate the transition to this new medium.

On a tour under the sea

Once we reach the bottom, the instructor will ask the student to kneel down to stabilize himself and be able to perform the basic exercises that will allow him to dive safely.
Next, we will take a pleasant underwater walk in which the student will be able to play with his vest in a controlled environment, learning to manage his buoyancy by himself so that he enjoys some freedom during his dive. Of course, always under the watchful eye of your instructor who will help you at any time you might need it.
During this walk, the instructors will point out the marine species of interest, the way to interact with those that allow it and the most striking underwater landscapes, taking photographs and videos of the clients whenever safety conditions allow it.

We finished the dive

When the amount of air remaining in the tank approaches the minimum reserve recommended for safety, we will start the ascent.
Always guaranteeing that we will reach the surface with 50 bars (approximately after 35 or 60 minutes of immersion, depending on the student’s air consumption in their first underwater experience).
Finally, we will get out of the water, disassemble the equipment, change and take the van to return to the dive center.
If requested, the transfer to the clients’ accommodation will be organized in case they have requested a pick-up service when booking. If this were not the case, it would be necessary to check the availability at the moment.

In order to be able to do a diving baptism in Tenerife, according to the current legislation, it is necessary:

Know how to swim.
Be at least 8 years old.

Certification: enables you to dive up to 12 meters deep accompanied by an instructor anywhere in the world. Permanent Certification.

Open Water Diver

Become an "Open Water Diver".

Minimum age: 10 years old

Duration: 3 - 5 days of trainning (24 - 32 hours)

Time underwater: between 45 and 60 minutes per dive depending on air consumption.

Certification: enables you to dive up to 18 meters deep accompanied by a buddie anywhere in the world. Permanent Certification.

Scuba Skills Review

If you already have a Scuba Diver/Open Water certification or higher, but haven't dived in a while, you may need to refresh your diving knowledge and skills.

Minimum age: 10 years old

Duration: 2 hours and half aproximately

Time underwater: between 45 and 60 minutes depending on air consumption.

No certification is issued but it does enable you to continue diving.
